Recreation

The Flathead Valley offers a Mecca of recreational opportunities for young and old, and in all seasons.  As a part of the American Rockies, we are blessed with majestic mountains to hike or ski, pristine lakes for all water sports and fishing, white-water rivers for kayaking, rafting or floating, and a myriad of exploring opportunities, not forgetting the nine golf courses just in our Valley.

As a state, we pride ourselves with having Glacier National Park at the north end and Yellowstone National Park at the south end.

How many states can you say there are more whitetail deer than people?  Yes, we are the fourth largest state in the nation and cannot claim more than one million in people population!  No long lines at the ski lifts, no pressure on the golf courses, no traffic jams or lack of parking spaces, just lots of fresh air, pristine water, and unbelievably beautiful nature envelops us bringing life into a better balance.
